I've decided to look for the best memory foam washable bed for large dogs to help out my friend. She has an adorable golden retriever who is 10 years old. He is much loved and cared for but has recently been feeling unwell. She took him to a vet who diagnosed Goldie with arthritis.
The family have been very sad thinking about how to make his life more comfortable. Getting a new bed was the first thing that came to my friend's mind (the vet has recommended it too). Goldie has a lovely bed, but it's a bit old and doesn't support his joints very well. The cat who also lives with them has been scratching the bed, so it got shabby over time.

This is my favorite item - it's 40 x 30 x 10 inches in size on the outside and 36 x 24 inches inside. Gray in color, it's very practical. But the most important component is the orthopedic mattress which will take good care of Goldie's joints. The soft cotton and polyester cover is removable so will be easy to wash. The rubber backing will ensure that it stays in place (no more slipping!). By the way, they have these for small to medium size dogs too. It supports a dog up to 100 pounds in weight, which is a lot!

This is my second favorite. In fact, having looked at the doggie lying on it, I got really jealous. This is seriously comfortable, despite the lack of cosy borders. It's made in the US, is 41 x 17 inches in size (and there are other sizes too), has a strong removable and washable outside denim cover and a breathable internal waterproof one. The pillow is 6 inches thick and will support an animal weighing up to 60 pounds! The shredded stuffing allows the airflow and temperature control. In fact, I wonder if they do these things for people since my memory foam mattress is cooking me in summer! :/

To be honest, it's an amazing bed and I don't know why I've put it as number four since it has everything going for it - memory foam, soft cover inside and outside, bolster filled with breathable cotton and the back covered with anti-slip rubber. Besides, it looks so cosy! Like the first three, it comes in different sizes to suit various sizes.

This is number five on my list simply because of its light color. Otherwise it has a lot of great reviews, combining softness and support of memory foam with practicality of the removable soft cover which is easy to take off and wash. It also comes in a variety of sizes, like the previous listings. What's most attractive is quite a modest price. I think it's well worth looking at!
